Data Licensing

Net Zero Tracker datasets are licensed under the Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license. This Creative Commons license allows users to share, adapt and build upon the data, provided they meet the following conditions:

• Attribution (BY): The Net Zero Tracker must be credited in any copies or adaptations.

• NonCommercial (NC): The work cannot be used for commercial purposes.

The Current Snapshot dataset was available for download under a CC BY 4.0 license up until 2 December 2024.

Due to ongoing data collection and file updates, this legacy dataset is now out of date.

Datasets from 3 December 2024

From 3 December 2024, the NZT team introduced:

1. An improved Current Snapshot dataset, updating every four hours, with new fields, enhanced metadata, and improved usability for both specialists and non-specialists.
