Net Zero Targets Over Time
The nations chart covers all sovereign states; the companies chart covers the world's 2,000 largest publicly listed companies. The 2025 drop for nations reflects the US rescinding its national net zero target and excludes continued commitments from US states, which would raise coverage to at least 84%.
